C3 Awareness

Team

We are currently between 20 and 30 people, but not all of them are at every event. The backgrounds of the team members are diverse in terms of gender identity and other affiliations. Our team includes:

  • computer scientists
  • psychologists/ psychotherapists
  • physicists
  • social workers
  • programmers
  • students of various disciplines
  • systemic counsellors
  • journalists
  • engineers

Some team members also do awareness work in other contexts, are involved in networking or offer workshops on awareness. The team also includes trained mental health first aiders

As individuals, we have different areas of specialization and expertise, but also topics that we do not (want to) work on. Together as well as individually, we educate ourselves on awareness-relevant topics. At the events, we work closely with the CrewCrew - the FLINTA security team - and the CERT medical and fire emergency response team, as well as with c3auti and the accessibility team.

We are a permanent team, but new people can join us about once a year. It is important for us to develop trust in each other and to be able to rely on each other, but also to be able to assess each other. That’s why we are in contact all year round, meet regularly online and also attend two annual Geekends in person. We continue to train each other or with external support.
